Dice Builder support

Dice Builder is an iPhone dice roller for tabletop roleplaying games, made by Rivet & Rune. If something is not working, or you want to ask for something, email us. We read the emails.

What is Dice Builder?

A dice roller for tabletop roleplaying games. Eight dice sit on a single dial: tap one for a quick roll, or build the pool you actually need, with the modifiers your table already plays by. You can save the rolls you make often, and there is a mode that turns the phone into something the whole table can read.

What do I need to run it?

An iPhone running iOS 26 or later. Nothing else: no account, no sign-in, and no internet connection.

Is my history stored anywhere but my phone?

No. Your saved builds, your roll history and your settings are written to your device and nowhere else, so deleting the app deletes them too. The app makes no network requests at all, which is also why there is nothing to sign in to.

There is a second set of results at the top of the screen, and it is upside down.

That is tabletop mode, and it is deliberate. With the mode on, the phone is meant to lie flat in the middle of the table, and that second bar reads the right way up to the players sitting across from you. It is off until you turn it on, from the rotate control in the corner of the screen. Turning it off brings the dial back upright.

The text is too small, or too large.

There is a text size control in the app's settings with three steps: small, medium and large. The first time you open the app it picks a starting step from your system text size, and after that the app's own setting is the one that counts.

It uses its own scale rather than the system one because the dial is a fixed piece of artwork. The dial stays the same size at every step, and everything around it scales.

Is Dice Builder free?

Yes, free to download and use, with no in-app purchases.

When can I get it?

Dice Builder is not on the App Store yet. It is close, but we would rather not name a date until it is actually there.

Still need a hand? Send us an email. If you are reporting something odd, tell us which iPhone you are on and what you tapped just before it happened.
